After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Heritage, Southeast Whitfield County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Gordon Central Warriors. The win continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won six in a row.

Southeast Whitfield County easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-19.

Emily Vargas paced Southeast Whitfield County's offense, picking up ten kills. Vargas got some help from Brielle Caldwell and her ten assists. Caldwell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Southeast Whitfield County's victory bumped their record up to 12-19. As for Gordon Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-25.

Looking ahead, Southeast Whitfield County will welcome Gilmer at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Gordon Central, they will venture away from home to challenge Adairsville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
