Recap: Southwestern Warriors vs. Wayne County Cardinals        
        
		
            
 Even though the Wayne County Cardinals scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, the Southwestern Warriors still came out on top. Southwestern had just enough and edged Wayne County out  58-56. The  win made it back-to-back wins for Southwestern.
 Southwestern's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Kinsley Molden, who  scored 20 points along with seven  rebounds. The  matchup was  Molden's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was  Payton  Acey, who  scored 19 points along with seven  rebounds.
 Southwestern has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Wayne County, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
 Southwestern is on the road again  on Saturday and play against Madison Central at 7:45  p.m.  on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Kentucky (Madison Central is ranked 72nd, while Southwestern is ranked 53rd). As for Wayne County, they will look to defend their home court  on Saturday against Whitefield Academy at 3:30  p.m.
