Basketball Recap: Waterloo West Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Waterloo West had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 65-43 margin over the Marshalltown Bobcats. While the Wahawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Waterloo West's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Marshalltown, they dropped their record down to 5-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Waterloo West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-49 loss against Prairie on the 24th. As for Marshalltown, they will head out to face off against Fort Dodge at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Marshalltown is facing Fort Dodge at the right time seeing as Fort Dodge is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
