Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sariah Howard and Saielle Howard Lead Inglewood to Victory

Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Inglewood Sentinels beat the Corona Panthers 18-13 on Wednesday.

A big part of Inglewood's victory came down to the chemistry between Sariah Howard and her top target Saielle Howard. Sariah threw for 235 yards and three TDs on perfect 9-for-9 passing while Saielle gained 290 total yards and three touchdowns. Saielle's longest reception was for an incredible 80 yards.

Inglewood didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Corona to a completion percentage of just 48.8%. The team can thank Howard for the heroic effort on defense: she. Inglewood wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 100%.

Inglewood's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up 15 sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Howard.

The win got Inglewood back to even at 1-1. As for Corona, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-3.

Inglewood wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Carson on the 29th. As for Corona, they are taking a road trip to take on Tesoro at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Titans' defense has only allowed 7.8 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
