Woodmont took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Mauldin a 3-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Greer hadn't done well against Blue Ridge recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Yellow Jackets walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Fighting Tigers.
