Preview: St. Pauls Bulldogs vs. Clinton Dark Horses

St. Pauls is 4-0 against Clinton since January of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The St. Pauls Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Clinton Dark Horses at 7:30 p.m. St. Pauls has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 28.

St. Pauls suffered their biggest defeat since November 20, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 51-29 walloping at the hands of West Bladen. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Pauls has scored all season.

The match pitted two dominant players against one another in Tyson Thompson and Chase Williams. Williams had a solid game and scored 20 points. Meanwhile, Thompson did his best for the losing side, scoring ten points along with two blocks.

Clinton posted their closest win yet this season on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Lakewood 50-47. The win was a breath of fresh air for Clinton as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

St. Pauls has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Clinton, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

St. Pauls took their win against Clinton in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 53-33. Will St. Pauls repeat their success, or does Clinton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
