Basketball Recap: San Dieguito Academy Takes a Loss

San Dieguito Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 74-45 loss at the hands of the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders.

St. Joseph Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dominic Gale out in front who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Justice Ahiafor, who had 17 points.

San Dieguito Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for St. Joseph Academy, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.

San Dieguito Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mt. Carmel at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for St. Joseph Academy, they will face off against Morse at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Joseph Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 61.7 points per game this season.
