Basketball Recap: Calvary Baptist Takes a Loss

Calvary Baptist was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Los Osos Grizzlies, falling 76-54. The Cougars were not able to make up for their defeat to the Grizzlies from their previous meeting back in January.

Despite the loss, Calvary Baptist still got an impressive performance from Gavin Quizon, who went 7-for-13 en route to 16 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. David Benicarlo was another key player, putting up five points.

Calvary Baptist's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Los Osos, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Calvary Baptist didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-42 victory against Northview on the 25th. Los Osos has also already played their next game (against La Canada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
