Soccer Game Preview: West Potomac vs. South County

For the first time this season, West Potomac will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to square off against the South County Stallions at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

West Potomac is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to eight goals on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Langley on Thursday. They fell just short of the Saxons by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, South County kept a clean sheet against Centreville on Thursday. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 2-0. The match marked South County's most dominant win of the season so far.

South County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West Potomac, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

West Potomac might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from South County in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can West Potomac avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
