Preview: Campbell County Camels vs. Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies
The Campbell County Camels and the Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies will round out the year against one another at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday at. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Campbell County slipped by Glenwood Springs 40-39. The win was just what Campbell County needed coming off of a 72-26 loss in their prior contest.
Campbell County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lane Hladky led the charge by scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Hladky pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Michael Biggs, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, even though Viborg/Hurley scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Elk Point-Jefferson still came out on top. Elk Point-Jefferson sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-55 win over Viborg/Hurley. 57 seems to be a good number for Elk Point-Jefferson as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
The victory got Campbell County back to even at 3-3. As for Elk Point-Jefferson, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.
