Basketball Recap: Richards School for Young Women Leaders Takes a Loss

Richards School for Young Women Leaders was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 38-36 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cedar Creek Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Richards School for Young Women Leaders has suffered since January 30, 2024.

Cedar Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaylin Serrano out in front who posted eight points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Serrano a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Claire Kahealani Natal, who had 13 points.

Richards School for Young Women Leaders' loss dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Cedar Creek, they moved to 2-25 with that win, which also ended their 15-game losing streak.
