Basketball Recap: Falls Lake Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Falls Lake had won five straight home games and Destiny Williams did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The Falls Lake Firebirds strolled past the Franklin Academy Patriots with points to spare, taking the game 39-23 thanks in part to Williams, who almost dropped a triple-double on 17 points, nine rebounds, and ten steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Jeneen Mason was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight boards and seven steals. Falls Lake is 9-2 when Mason posts five or more steals, but 2-4 otherwise.

Falls Lake is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Franklin Academy, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Falls Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 61-21 win against Research Triangle on the 30th. As for Franklin Academy, they will venture away from home to challenge NCSSM: Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
