Football Recap: Pomona Comes Up Short

Pomona fell victim to Garey and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Vikings, falling 41-0. The loss continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost three in a row.

Jaydeen Bravo threw for 131 yards on 12 of 26 attempts. Belen Ibarra was her top target, picking up 57 receiving yards.

Pomona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Garey, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pomona will challenge Colony at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Garey, they will square off against Sacred Heart of Jesus at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
