If Central Academy wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Monroe, they should've done a better job of containing Janiyah Boyd. Everything went the Monroe Redhawks' way against the Central Academy Cougars on Tuesday as the Monroe Redhawks made off with a 73-47 victory thanks in part to Boyd, who went 11-for-20 en route to 28 points along with six assists and five steals. Her afternoon made it 20 games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points.

Janisha Bennett was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

Monroe's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Central Academy, they are on a 44-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-22.

Monroe has already played their next contest, a 66-65 loss against Parkwood on the 21st. Central Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
