Softball Recap: Tomahawk Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Tomahawk's offense. They came up short against the Auburndale Apaches on Monday, falling 9-0. The Hatchets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tomahawk's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Auburndale, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tomahawk will take on Northland Pines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hatchets are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Auburndale, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 0.7 runs per game this season, so the Apaches' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
