St. Ignatius is 8-2 against Jackson since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Wildcats will square off against the Polar Bears at 11:00 a.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with St. Ignatius sitting on ten straight victories and Jackson on nine.

St. Ignatius is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. They blew past Stow-Munroe Falls 3-0.

St. Ignatius got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brandon Walrod out in front who had 15 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristian Aguirre, who had ten digs and one assist.

St. Ignatius was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Jackson faced Hudson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Polar Bears had just enough and edged out the Explorers 3-2.

St. Ignatius' victory bumped their record up to 22-3. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 21-4.

St. Ignatius took their victory against Jackson in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Polar Bears turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
