The Stringer Red Devils will venture away from home to take on the Resurrection Catholic Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Stringer has three straight wins, Resurrection Catholic has six straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Stringer will bounce into Thursday's matchup after beating Lumberton, who they had gone 0-8 against in their eight prior meetings. The Red Devils blew past the Panthers 46-20 on Friday. Considering the Red Devils have won three games by more than 25 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaheim Campbell continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 211 yards and three scores while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Stringer is undefeated when Campbell posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise. Tymiir Gordon helped out on the ground, rushing for 88 yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Stringer was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 309 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 153 rushing yards in 18 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Stringer didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Colby Hosey and Gordon. Hosey is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made six or more in each of the last three games he's played.
Meanwhile, Resurrection Catholic played a tough matchup last Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 34-3 loss at the hands of Lumberton. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Resurrection Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Stringer, their record is now 7-2.
Stringer couldn't quite get it done against Resurrection Catholic in their previous meeting back in September of 2022 as they fell 20-7. Thankfully for the Red Devils, Daniel Pickens (who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 67 receiving yards and one TD) won't be suiting up this time.
