Basketball Game Preview: Palisades Pumas vs. Olympic Trojans

The Palisades Pumas will face off against the Olympic Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Palisades has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

On Friday, Palisades didn't have quite enough to beat South Mecklenburg and fell 63-61. The Pumas have struggled against the Sabres recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Olympic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They really took it to Ballantyne Ridge for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-38 victory. That looming 70-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Trojans yet this season.

Olympic's win bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Palisades, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-10.

Palisades came up short against Olympic in their previous meeting back in January, falling 59-55. Can Palisades avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
