Bishop McCort hadn't done well against Bishop Guilfoyle recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Crushers put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 12-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Crushers, who have now won six contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Bishop McCort's third in a row) raised their record to 10-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Bishop Guilfoyle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
