Softball Recap: Montoursville Falls Short of Loyalsock Township in the Playoffs

Montoursville and Loyalsock Township squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Montoursville had to settle for second. They lost 12-6 to the Lancers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, with their most recent loss being a 8-7 defeat on May 1st.

Montoursville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayleigh Sheleman, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Montoursville has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season. As for Loyalsock Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Montoursville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Loyalsock Township, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, an 8-4 win against Mifflinburg on the 24th.
