Baseball Recap: Highland Tech Comes Up Short

Highland Tech fell victim to Burns and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Burns Bulldogs, falling 15-0. The Rams' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Highland Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Burns, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Highland Tech will head out to square off against Piedmont Community Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Highland Tech has given up an average of 8.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Burns, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Polk County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Burns knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Polk County likes a good challenge.
