Volleyball Recap: Frederick Douglass Gets the Win

Frederick Douglass posted their closest win since April 25, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the West Jessamine Colts 3-2.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Frederick Douglass who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 32-30, 18-25, 25-22, 24-26, 15-8.

Frederick Douglass is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. West Jessamine's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Frederick Douglass will face off against Western Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Jessamine, they will challenge Bryan Station at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for West Jessamine and four for Bryan Station.
