Basketball Game Preview: Washington Demons vs. Ottumwa Bulldogs

The Washington Demons are taking a road trip to square off against the Ottumwa Bulldogs at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Washington has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Washington is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Clear Creek-Amana on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Washington lost 85-60 to Clear Creek-Amana. The Demons haven't had much luck with the Clippers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, in Friday's Canine Competition, Ottumwa had to take the L. They fell just short of Hoover by a score of 49-46 on Friday. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Ottumwa, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-8.

Washington came up short against Ottumwa in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, falling 68-61. Can Washington avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
