Corner Canyon piles up the points against Copper Hills

The Corner Canyon Chargers came tearing into Friday's match with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by Copper Hills at home to the tune of 75-40. That looming 75-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Corner Canyon yet this season.
Corner Canyon had a senior duo take command as Isaac Neibaur scored 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Brody Kozlowski scored 18 points along with six rebounds. Kozlowski hasn't dropped below 17 points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Derelle Desire, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks.
Corner Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. As for Copper Hills, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corner Canyon will take on Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Corner Canyon knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully Mountain Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Copper Hills, they will be playing at home against Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Copper Hills is coming into the contest with three straight defeats at home, meaning Riverton will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win.
