Football Game Preview: Atkins Camels vs. Glenn Bobcats + How To Watch

For the first time this season, Atkins will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to face off against the Glenn Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Atkins is looking for their season's first win.

Atkins came up short against Forbush on Friday, falling 29-7.

Despite the defeat, Atkins got top-tier performance from Xavier Moore, who rushed for 83 yards and one touchdown on only six carries. Moore got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 67 yards.

Meanwhile, Glenn ended up a good deal behind Southeast Guilford last Friday and lost 34-20. While the Bobcats had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Falcons 13-7.

Atkins will have to contain Brady Robinson as he made an impact in Glenn's last game. He threw for 117 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 30 yards.

Atkins' loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Glenn, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Atkins took a serious blow against Glenn in their previous meeting back in September of 2016, falling 47-0. Thankfully for the Camels, Stephon Brown Jr (who threw for 185 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes, and also punched in one score on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
