Football Game Preview: Springfield Cougars vs. Garnet Valley Jaguars

The Springfield Cougars will head out on the road to challenge the Garnet Valley Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Springfield sitting on eight straight wins and Garnet Valley on six.

On Friday, Springfield was fully in charge, breezing past Radnor 50-14. Considering the Cougars have won five games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Garnet Valley made easy work of Upper Darby on Friday and carried off a 29-7 victory. The Jaguars are also no stranger to big wins: their blowout was the fifth matchup they've won by 20+ points this season.

Garnet Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Springfield, their victory bumped their record up to 8-0.

Springfield beat Garnet Valley 21-14 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
