Volleyball Recap: Soldotna Falls Short Against Ranked Mountain City Christian Academy

Soldotna faced Mountain City Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Stars fell just short of the Lions by a score of 1-0. The Stars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Soldotna's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-13.

Soldotna has already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Kenai Central on the 10th. As for Mountain City Christian Academy, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Valdez at 8:00 a.m.
