Baseball Recap: Hackettstown Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hackettstown had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 12-9 win over the Voorhees Vikings. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 14-4 victory the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Hackettstown's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Voorhees, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Coming up, Hackettstown will be playing in front of their home fans against Dover at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Dover has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.23 runs per game on average), something Hackettstown will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Voorhees, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 victory against North Warren Regional on the 30th.
