Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Wins for Tremont

There's no place like home for Tremont, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top against the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts by a score of 7-2 on Friday. The Turks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Grey Ghosts, too.

Andrew Dawson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Josh Papenhouse and Griffin Meeker did most of the damage at the plate: Papenhouse scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Meeker scored a run while going 2-for-3.
