Volleyball Recap: Airport Comes Up Short

Airport lost against South Aiken on September 4th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Thoroughbreds. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Airport was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into South Aiken's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-18, 25-20.

Airport's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for South Aiken, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Airport will head out to square off against White Knoll at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Aiken, they will venture away from home to challenge Gilbert at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
