Basketball Recap: Central Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Central faced off against Starr's Mill on Friday. The game between the Central Lions and the Starr's Mill Panthers didn't end well, with the Central Lions falling 49-35. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 239th, while the Panthers are ranked 117th).

Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9. As for Starr's Mill, their win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-4.

When Central and Starr's Mill next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Central will face off against Griffin and their three-game winning streak at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Similarly, Starr's Mill will try to stop Harris County's five-game winning streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
