Baseball Recap: Palmer Trinity Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Palmer Trinity took on Stoneman Douglas on Tuesday. The Palmer Trinity Falcons took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Stoneman Douglas Eagles.

Miles Tolmach was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Palmer Trinity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lorenzo Rodriguez, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. Tommy Barcinas Jr. was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Palmer Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Stoneman Douglas, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Palmer Trinity didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against JC Bermudez Doral on the 5th. As for Stoneman Douglas, they have also already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Boca Raton on the 6th.
