Volleyball Game Preview: New Britain Golden Hurricanes vs. Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars

The New Britain Golden Hurricanes will square off against the Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

New Britain took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Lewis Mills 3-0. The Golden Hurricanes haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

New Britain walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-4, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Kolbe-Cathedral earned a 3-1 victory over Westhill on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Kolbe-Cathedral had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, 25-20.

New Britain's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
