It was a good run, but Highlands unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 43-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lanier Voks. The Owls were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Voks earlier this season, when they won 67-36.

Lanier was led to victory by Zach Martinez and John Moreno. Martinez posted 19 points and four steals, while Moreno dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards. Those 11 rebounds gave Moreno a new career-high.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Lanier, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-14.

Highlands wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 61-43 loss against Jefferson on the 31st. As for Lanier, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-55 victory against Burbank on the 31st.
