Stevenson barely beat Watsonville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Pirates put the hurt on the Wildcatz with a sharp  3-0 win on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Wildcatz recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive  victory against them.
 While Stevenson won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the  third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 25-11,  25-23.
Stevenson's win bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Watsonville,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches  and leaves them with a 6-15 record.
 Coincidentally, Stevenson and Watsonville will both be playing Alisal the next time they take the court. The Wildcatz will head out to face the Trojans at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday, while the Pirates will  host them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
