Softball Recap: Rolesville Triumphs

The third road match was the charm for Rolesville, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top against the Northern Nash Knights by a score of 13-9 on Friday. The Rams have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

The team relied heavily on Sadie Smith, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in triples. The team also got some help courtesy of Marissa D'Antonio, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Rolesville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Northern Nash, their record now sits at 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rolesville will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Clayton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Northern Nash, they will take on Hunt at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
