Basketball Recap: Highland Park Comes Up Short

Highland Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 47-19 loss at the hands of the Memphis Cyclones. The Hornets lost against the Cyclones in their previous head to head back in November of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 44-37 score last time.

Highland Park's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Memphis, the win snapped their losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 7-12 record.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Clarendon the next time they take the court. Highland Park will host Clarendon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Memphis will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st.
