Softball Recap: St. John the Baptist Comes Up Short

St. John the Baptist fell victim to St. Anthony and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Friars. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Friars recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

St. John the Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Anthony's, the win (which was their 27th in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. St. John the Baptist is set to square off against their familiar foe Sacred Heart Academy at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Anthony's will take on rival St. Mary's at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be St. Anthony's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
