Softball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf Eagles vs. Lick-Wilmerding Tigers

The California School for the Deaf Eagles will challenge the Lick-Wilmerding Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

California School for the Deaf had been on a four-game streak of scoring at least ten runs, but St. Joseph Notre Dame put an end to it on Wednesday. The Eagles came up short against the Pilots, falling 12-2. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

California School for the Deaf saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alice Seyffart, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Seyffart's first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Lick-Wilmerding was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 21-2 to University. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost three in a row.

Lick-Wilmerding's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for California School for the Deaf, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.
