The Whetstone Braves will challenge the Bishop Hartley Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whetstone is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

On Monday, Whetstone got the win against Beechcroft by a conclusive 14-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Braves.

Jillian Nelson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

In other batting news, Avery Bair was incredible, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Sara Kraus was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Bishop Hartley didn't have quite enough to beat London on Wednesday and fell 9-8.

Bishop Hartley's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Whetstone, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
