Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Pikeville). They walked away with an 18-13 victory over the Knott County Central Patriots on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Patriots two weeks ago, they had to take a 12-2 loss.

The win made it two in a row for Pikeville and bumps their season record up to 13-20. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Knott County Central, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-15.

Looking ahead, Pikeville will host Lawrence County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Knott County Central, they will face off against Martin County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
