Football Recap: Irrigon Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Irrigon's offense. They were dealt a 58-0 loss at the hands of the Heppner Mustangs on Friday. The Knights have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Heppner's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Caleb George, who rushed for 52 yards and one TD, and also picked up 48 receiving yards and one touchdown. Caylan Proudfoot was another key signal caller, throwing for 91 yards and a pair of TDs.

Irrigon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Heppner, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Looking ahead, Irrigon will venture away from home to square off against Grant Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heppner, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Stanfield at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
