Baseball Recap: Hurley Comes Up Short

If Hurley was riding high fresh off their 9-2 takedown of Walnut Grove on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers fell just short of the New Covenant Academy Warriors by a score of 11-9 on Wednesday. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Hurley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for New Covenant Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

While Hurley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
