Football Recap: Will Disbrow and Henry White Pace Crest Defense

Crest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 34-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Centre Cougars. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Even if they lost, Crest's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Will Disbrow and Henry White, who racked up all four sacks between them.

Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Centre, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Crest will welcome Marmaton Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lancers will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Centre, they will head out on the road to face off against Lebo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 25.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
