Soccer Recap: Rowlett Comes Up Short

Rowlett entered their game against Wylie on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Rowlett Eagles came up short against the Wylie Pirates, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Pirates are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Rowlett and nudges their season record down to 8-7. As for Wylie, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 16-0.

Coming up, Rowlett will square off against Lakeview Centennial at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wylie, they will take on Garland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garland's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
