Basketball Game Preview: Mishicot Indians vs. Algoma Wolves

The Mishicot Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Algoma Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Mishicot has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 180 points over their last three games.

Last Tuesday, Mishicot was able to grind out a solid win over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, taking the game 58-47.

Meanwhile, Algoma had to suffer through a 66-33 loss at the hands of Kewaunee. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Storm are ranked 38th).

Mishicot is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points per game. As for Algoma, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

Mishicot beat Algoma 48-40 in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mishicot since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
