League recap: Sedgwick tops Remington to extend winning streak

Sedgwick extended the longest winning streak in Heart of America this week by beating Remington, 51-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.

Ell-Saline took down Bennington 47-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Garrett Walker threw for 258 yards and four touchdowns in the win.

Kaleb Whitehair was the best wideout in the league this week as the Cardinals beat the Bulldogs. Whitehair tallied six receptions for 93 yards. Keegan Hays helped Ell-Saline's passing attack out by catching three balls for 80 yards.

Treyton Devore made the biggest impact on defense this week as Inman defeated Ellinwood. The 6-foot-0 junior pulled down two interceptions.

Josh Miller was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 32 carries, he ran for 283 yards as the Inman Teutons beat Bennington. Teammate Cody Seiler added to the ground attack by rushing for 66 yards.

Terry King's team's Walker and Whitehair have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Heart of America in both passing and receiving yards. Walker has thrown for 1393 yards this season, while Whitehair, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 33 catches for 531 yards. Miller from Inman leads the league in rushing with 1553 yards.

Dalton Brandt has rushed for 974 yards on 134 carries so far this year.

Sedgwick led the league in scoring this week after putting up 51 points on the Broncos.
