Football Recap: Wildwood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wildwood lost against Lafayette back in September of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wildcats were dealt a 42-13 defeat at the hands of the Hornets. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Wildwood took the loss, they still got scores from Jeremiah Corbin and Kendrick Holmes.

It was another big night for Tywan K Williamson, who threw for 204 yards and three touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards for Lafayette. Parker Hill was K Williamson's top target, picking up 61 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Wildwood's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lafayette, they pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Wildwood will take on Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hardee will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Lafayette, they will square off against Fort White at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
