It was a good run, but Laguardia unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 9-3 to the Douglass Academy Lions. The contest marked Laguardia's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

RIKI EKUNI was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was JOHN ZIGA, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Laguardia's loss dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Douglass Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laguardia will venture away from home to face off against Art & Design at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Douglass Academy, they will square off against Esperanza Preparatory Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
