Basketball Recap: Inter-Lakes Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Emily Doda and Riley Anderson

Inter-Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. The contest between them and the Belmont Red Raiders didn't end well, with the Inter-Lakes Lakers falling 52-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 65-26 two weeks ago.

Inter-Lakes' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Riley Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 boards, and Emily Doda, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Those six points gave Doda a new career-high. Emily MacLean also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Inter-Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Belmont, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-9 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Inter-Lakes has already played their next game (against Berlin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Belmont will square off against Raymond at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
